Have you ever shopped the Just Between Friends consignment sale? Here’s your chance to see what your friends are all talking about. The sale is happening this weekend in Graham Arena at the Olmsted County Fairgrounds.
My first thought upon entering? Am I in baby/kids deal heaven? I am a fairly conscientious deal shopper. I love a good bargain. I stack coupon codes and make a bee-line to the clearance racks at pretty much every store. I knew I couldn’t turn down an opportunity to shop a sale built on great deals and bargains!
“Am I in baby/kids deal heaven?”
Upon entering:
This sale is very big. It takes up the entire floor of the main area of Graham arena. My first impression was also that this was a very well organized sale. The signage was large and clear and they had organized items into areas such as: Girls Clothing/Shoes, Boys Clothing/Shoes, Books, Games, Strollers, etc.
The book selection was expansive and contained hundreds and hundreds of titles. All reasonably priced and in quite good condition:
There is also a sea of strollers to choose from:
And shelves and shelves of shoes including winter boots!!
A friend had asked me to keep an eye out for some great rain boots for her daughter and I happened upon these purple beauties:
This sale is a great idea if you are looking for the next size up in clothes (HOW do they grow so fast?), winter coats, toys, books and games for birthday presents and parties coming up and all sorts of baby gear and supplies. One thing I was surprised about was the amount of Melissa and Doug items available: puzzles, sticker books, educational actives, kitchen and cooking play items and on and on!
Here are my shopping tips:
- Go with a list. The area is so large and there is so much available that you might become distracted from what you are shopping for in the first place!
- Take a buddy! You can share each other’s list and while you are each searching you can keep an eye out for the other person’s wish-list items.
- Bring large shopping bags. They do have those epic blue Ikea bags available but may not have enough for everyone.
- Consider bringing a cart or wagon to haul around your stuff! They do have a save and hold area that is very handy, but if you are like me, your large Ikea bag will fill up quickly and you’ll have to make your way back to that hold area several times.
- Kids are welcome! Consider giving them their own special item to be on the look-out for.
Have fun shopping! This is a great option for finding deals for your little people. Details of the sale are below:
