John Sievers is a husband, father, trombonist, writer, and teacher. He loves listening to and creating live music and performs with The D'Sievers and Loud Mouth Brass. An English professor at Rochester Community and Technical College, John earned his Ph.D. in English Literature at the University of Minnesota. His dissertation focused on the intersection of siren song and New World exploration within the works of Elizabethan authors. Curiosity is John's muse, and he's been known to try everything from creating art with crow feces to exploring the potential of urban spelunking.
