FAMILY SERVICE ROCHESTER
Family Service Rochester (FSR) is a community-based organization providing mental health, senior independence, child well-being, and family stability services. We listen to what people need and together, we build better lives. FSR provides more than 30 programs serving persons and families throughout southeast Minnesota.
Our Senior Independence programs include Chore and Support Services, Home Safety Checks, Meals on Wheels, Senior Cafe, and Caregiver Support and Respite Services.
FSR is the lead agency for Age Friendly Olmsted County.

Olmsted Medical Center’s Active Aging Services provides patient-center, integrated, holistic care and resources to the fastest-growing portion of our patient population. Our experienced and passionate staff assist patients and their support person(s) with specialty care services including palliative care, memory care/brain health, nursing home care, medical cannabis certification, falls prevention, advance care planning, and health care and mental health care education and support.
SHOREWOOD SENIOR CAMPUS
Shorewood Senior Campus is a 55+ community offering three distinct lifestyles within one campus: independent living, assisted living, and dementia care. LUTHERAN SOCIAL SERVICE
Our Senior Companion service is available across Minnesota and North Dakota and assists older adults, so they are able to remain healthy and active in their own homes for as long as possible. Our companions are trained volunteers who visit three to four hours per week to offer support, friendship, and transportation in the community.
Foster Grandparent volunteers provide one-to-one mentoring a few hours a week to children and youth to help them boost their self-esteem and overall success. In this role, one can positively impact the lives of young people, find a meaningful way to give back.
ROCHESTER LOCAL
Rochester Local is a lifestyle and events website for residents and visitors in SE Minnesota. Started in 2015 with a desire to equip Moms in Rochester, Rochester Local has grown into the resource it is today. In addition to the Guide to Aging, we have hundreds of guides and resources about living in and getting to know the SE Minnesota Area. Rochester Local also provides the region’s most robust events calendar. This ensures no one ever feels that “There is nothing to do!”
