Good News for Rochester MN: Chester Woods is Now Free!

Chester WoodsEarlier last week, the Olmsted County Board of Commissioners met to discuss proposed updated rules and regulations for Olmsted County Parks.

Among those, was the removal of entrance fees to Chester Woods Park in SE Rochester. Entrance fees had been suspended in December 2021 to encourage more people to visit the park during the Covid-10 pandemic.

The commissioners voted to approve the proposal and permanently remove the entrance fees to Chester Woods Park!

We love Chester Woods park for so many reasons.  The amenities include hiking, fishing, camping, swimming, watercraft rentals, skiing and snowshoeing in winter, and much more.

Be sure to regularly check the events and programming at the parks!  There are some great upcoming events for families. We’ll work to get these uploaded to our events calendar too.
