Rochester MN Night Market
Night markets are a way of life across much of Asia. These night markets are open-air markets held at night and are dedicated to leisurely strolling, eating, enjoying entertainment, art, and more. Last year, The Night Market was easily one of the most popular downtown events of the summer. Luckily for us, the Night Market is BACK for 2022.
The format is a bit different this year: more frequent, smaller markets with a large market at the very end to celebrate the season. This is closer to Tiffany Alexandria’s (Night Market organizer and founder) original vision. It will also allow to strengthen and deepen relationships between customers and vendors.
At the Night Market, you can expect food from a variety of different cultures, artists, conversations, and community. This is a fun and relaxed atmosphere, bring the entire family!
Dates: July 16th, July 30th, August 13th, and August 27th, September 10th

The final market is on September 10th and will be held behind the Mayo Civic Center. The date of the final market is no mistake: September 10th is the Mid-Autumn Festival (also known as moon festival or mooncake festival), one of the largest holidays in Chinese and East Asian cultures.
Tiffany Alexandria of Choochoo-ca-chew was born and raised in Taiwan. She grew up attending night markets and truly misses this aspect of her home. Tiffany is also passionate about *all* things local. She has long dreamed of bringing a night market to Rochester MN. The Night Market was made possible last year by a Start-Up Event Grant and other vested downtown sponsors. This year, many of those same sponsors returned to the new and more frequent format.
Night markets are a great way to socialize and build community and can be an excellent place for small businesses to start. The Night Market in Rochester will feature 20+ businesses and strongly emphasizes Asian and BIPOC vendors. Expect a night outdoors filled with food, music, drinks, games, art, handmade products, fresh produce, and more!
