You just can’t help but love the Sota Clothing origin story. Spencer Johnson was a senior at the University of Minnesota-Duluth pursuing his Graphic Design degree. He initially sketched out a few designs intended to be part of his senior project. However, Spencer saw an opportunity to fill a void – a clean, and finely designed apparel brand to show love for Minnesota. After creating a logo and some graphics (and a lot of support from his classmates) Spencer launched Sota clothing.
Spencer draws a huge amount of inspiration from his home state of Minnesota in his Sota clothing designs. Since its launch in 2011, Sota Clothing has become a beloved brand proudly worn by many Minnesotans.
We recently had an opportunity to visit the flagship Sota Clothing store in St. Louis Park and want to share with you our *very favorite* sweatshirts and hats from Sota. These are hugely popular gifts to give during the holidays and for good reason! Cozy, stylish, and full of pride…what’s not to love?
