Fun Changes at Minnesota Children’s Museum – Rochester

New Exhibit – Little Builders

It’s time!  Another new exhibit has just opened at the Minnesota Children’s Museum – Rochester this week!  Little Builders is now open for children to construct, build and play.

Lend a hand to build, explore simple machines or transport cargo in this pint-sized construction zone.

Little Builders fosters creative and critical thinking as children work together or independently to build, lift, move and test.  This exhibit gives children the chance to explore the physics of movement and discover the concepts involved in building: size, weight, shape, balance, gravity and stability. They can even use Duplo® blocks and PVC pipes! Plan your visit to Little Builders, the new exhibit at Minnesota Children’s Museum of Rochester May 18 – September 11, 2016.

  • Operate a pulley or conveyer belt to explore cause and effect
  • Turn wheels of a gantry crane to transport cargo
  • Discover mechanical physics at work
  • Test aerodynamics using balls, chutes and pipes
