LIVE MUSIC – Taikoarts Midwest | Historic Chateau Theatre

Rochester Public Music is bringing Taikoarts Midwest to town as the visiting artist for their Sound School program which was established in 1990. The group will present performances and educational sessions in 10 local elementary schools in the week leading up to a public concert.
Taiko means drum in Japanese and also refers to the modern style of playing Japanese drums. The Taikoarts Midwest ensembles present group drumming concerts that include music, dance, martial arts, athletics, and culture that make your heart pound and your body move.
This show will be great for families. Consider getting ready for the show by watching the documentary “Finding Her Beat.”
