LIVE MUSIC – Art of the Concerto | Zumbro Lutheran Church

SEMYO invites you to attend Art of the Concerto on Sunday, February 8 at 4 PM at Zumbro Lutheran Church, featuring talented finalists from the 2026 SEMYO Concerto Competition.

The SEMYO Concerto Competition is an annual event open to members of the Philharmonic and Concert Orchestra, providing them a platform to explore solo works for orchestra.

The following musicians, selected after the first round of competition on January 25, will be featured performers:
Adrian Bancos (Horn)
Ashyr Grey Matyi (Bass)
Emma Pido (Oboe)
Jun-Soo Smith (Violin)
So-Yeon Smith (Violin)
Jaden Qiu (Violin)
Jaeden Weroha (Cello)
Edda Wiedenman (Bassoon)
Benjamin Wieland (Viola)

Each musician will perform either a movement or a complete concerto for solo instrument accompanied by piano. This is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a variety of repertoire for solo instruments performed by some of the area’s most dedicated and talented young musicians!
Admission is free, and the recital is open to the public.
