There are many swimming options in and around Rochester and we hope this guide will help you compare the locations quickly. The pools on this list range from basic to waterpark-style, so click the website links to get more detailed information on each pool’s offerings. For all Rochester area beaches, see our guide here! ROCHESTER PARKS & RECREATION

With thrilling slides, a climbing wall, lazy river, and ample space to soak up the sun, Soldiers Field Aquatic Center is the perfect place to unwind. For a serene escape, visit Cascade Lake and Foster Arend Beaches, complete with picnic areas and breathtaking lakeside views. But the fun doesn’t stop there—head to the Lincolnshire Splash Pad in northwest Rochester for a water-filled adventure! This family-friendly splash pad is perfect for younger children to cool off and enjoy interactive water features. Lincolnshire Splash Pad

Tucked into the Lincolnshire neighborhood in northwest Rochester, the Lincolnshire Splash Pad is a favorite warm-weather hangout for families. Located at 5276 Members Parkway NW, it’s free to use and open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. through Labor Day. It’s got ten fun water features, a grassy lawn for lounging, shady spots for grown-ups, and restrooms nearby—basically, everything you’d want for a low-key summer outing. It’s an easy, no-cost way to keep kids cool and active while adults can relax close by.

Rochester Recreation Center
The smaller pool (“warm water pool”) is a 25-yard, four-lane leisure pool. This pool is used for recreational swimming, warm-up, and cool-down when racing dual-pool or long course in the competition pool. The temperature is kept at 88°F. The pool has a depth range of 3.6ft to 4.6ft. The pool has a ramp and railing, which allows easy access.
The competition pool (“50 Meter Pool”) is an Olympic-length swimming pool designed by Myrtha that meets all AAU and FINA standards with a pool size of 50 meters in length and eight or 16 swimming lanes. Included in this area are two 1-meter and two 3-meter diving boards. The pool has two movable bulkheads that allow for numerous pool setups. The pool area has seating for 1,294. The temperature is kept between 81°F – 82°F. The pool has a depth range of 3.5ft to 13.8ft.

Silver Lake Public Pool
Silver Lake Pool is closed for the 2025 season for renovations! Will reopen for the 2026 summer season.

Cascade Lake Park
Cascade Lake Beach Hours: will be open daily from May 24, 2025 through Labor Day. The beach is open 12 PM – 8 PM.
Cascade Lake Beach has no lifeguards on duty. The Park and Recreation Department encourages the “buddy” system when enjoying the beach. Parents are responsible for their children.
The following regulations will be enforced at Cascade Lake Beach this swimming season:
– No swimming outside designated swimming area.
– No alcoholic beverages allowed in the beach area.
– No smoking in beach area.
– No glass containers in beach area.
– No dogs in beach area.
– The park and beach are open during daylight hours.
Foster Arend Beach
Foster Arend Beach will be open daily from May 24, 2025 through Labor Day.
Open 7 Days a Week: 12 PM – 8 PM
Foster Arend Beach has no lifeguards on duty. The Park and Recreation Department encourages the “buddy” system when enjoying the beach. Parents are responsible for their children.
Waterparks of Minnesota offers an inflatable waterpark at Foster Arend Beach. There is an admission fee for this amenity. More info can be found on Waterparks of Minnesota’s Facebook Page.
Chester Woods Park
