Address: 207 5th Ave S, La Crosse, WI 54601

Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, 7 days a week

With three floors of fun, the Children’s Museum of La Crosse is a must-visit for families. At $9 per person, this is a steal of a deal. We attended this museum when our kids were 5 and 7, and I wish we had checked it out sooner.

Some highlights of the museum include an indoor tree house, imaginative play areas, an interactive light exhibit, and a large climbing structure.

Check out their monthly schedule for field trip notices or special events they have going on: www.funmuseum.org

Logistics

For parking, we used the Market Square Ramp less than one block away from the museum. As with most children’s museums, if you’re a member of your local children’s museum, you receive a discounted rate when you visit other children’s museums. Ask at the front desk when you purchase your tickets for a discounted rate.

For even more to do see and do, check out lacrosselocal.com.

Check out downtown events, things to do on the weekend, festivals, the events calendar, and more!

After playing at the museum, everyone is going to be ready for a bite to eat. Pack a picnic or grab some picnic food next door from the People’s Food Coop. Then walk 1 block over to Cameron Park and enjoy a picnic lunch followed by more play on the playground.

If you’re interested in a sit-down spot, check out Hmong’s Golden Egg Rolls, The Crow, or Pato Azul, all within walking distance from the children’s museum.

Address: 207 Pearl St, La Crosse, WI 54601

Hours: 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM (summer hours), 7 days a week

It’s time to head to a local favorite for some ice cream at The Pearl Ice Cream Parlor & Confectionery. Located in one of the oldest historical buildings in LaCrosse, this ice cream parlor is outfitted with a 1940s soda fountain and has nostalgic vibes to go with it.

The ice cream and waffle cones are made at the shop daily.  Voted #1 in LaCrosse for ice cream and candy, the flavors are worth the hype; this ice cream is delicious! Enjoy the indoor air conditioning or sit outside at The Pearl’s patio seating.
