Let’s Get Ready to Crumbl!

You know those businesses or places or words or anything really that you hear about for the first time and then they are everywhere?  That was Crumbl Cookies for me.  I think I first heard about them late this spring, and then what felt like seconds later, friends in other cities were posting about the Crumbl cookie experiences, and then 1 minute later it’s announced Rochester, MN would have its very own Crumbl!

What is Crumbl Cookies?

Crumbl Cookies was started by cousins Sawyer Hemsley and Jason McGowan.  They worked and worked to perfect their chocolate chip cookie recipe.  When they finally landed on it, they opened up their very first shop in Logan, Utah in 2017 while Sawyer was attending the University of Utah.  At first, they only served their signature Milk Chocolate Chip Cookie via take-out and delivery.  Soon after that, they began to offer other services such as delivery, and curbside pick-up.

While Sawyer was attending the University of Utah, he designed the iconic pink packaging that is super easily recognizable (and instagrammable).  In fact, you might even start to see a few cars and trucks wrapped in Crumbl’s signature pink with black baking icons driving all around town!

What makes Crumbl so unique is its rotating menu.  They offer up to 6 different varieties each week…so if your favorite is on the menu, snatch it up quickly because it will be a while before it’s back! New flavor offerings are announced on Monday and continue through to Saturday of that week.

Today is the GRAND OPENING of Crumbl Cookies in Rochester, MN.  You might have gotten lucky and heard about their soft opening…and if you did, you might have seen a long line!

However, there are ways to avoid the long line.  The Crumbl app makes it SUPER easy to order online for curbside pick-up or delivery (via DoorDash).  We wanted to have these cookies first thing this morning for the Grand Opening. I placed my order last night and they were delivered at 8:30 AM this morning…still warm! We got a party box…for research purposes.

The Way the Cookie Crumbls

What’s not to love about a giant pink box filled with freshly baked cookies…still warm!  Crumbl Cookies is a pure treat and a pure novelty and we are here for it.  The party box comes with 12 cookies…and each cookie can *easily* be 4 servings.  They are literally gigantic. The cookies were so soft and chewy, not crunchy or crispy at all.  And these are not thin giant cookies, they are FAT giant cookies.  I cannot adequately explain to you how chonky these cookies truly are.

Crumbl Cookies is SUCH a fun addition to #rochmn. These are great for celebrating, or a special treat, or even if your sweet tooth hits at 11 pm…they are open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
