Baby Girl Nursery REVEAL

Using a room for more than one purpose is not only functional, but fun to decorate. We live in a 4-bedroom, two-story home, and I have definitely taken over our house as my husband likes to remind me. 😉 I run two businesses from our home: a hair studio in the basement’s “guest bedroom” and a watercolor business as well. I am one that is taking advantage of any space we have. We have two daughters who share a room, our master bedroom and our office in on the second level that we have been using as the art room/office. When we found out we were expecting baby #3 last summer, I knew right away that sharing the office would be the most beneficial for our family. My two daughters used this room as their nurseries as well, before it was the office. I thought it would be fun to share with you some photos of our room that is 95% put together. (Let’s face it. This is good as it is going to get. Ha.)

My husband built the desk on the right for us two years ago, and I just adore it. It is IKEA butcher block that we mounted to the wall, and he took tree branches that had fallen in our backyard and used them as the legs. With minimal space in this room, we opted to put the crib on the left and place the “borrowed” changing table on the one end. I didn’t like the difference in depth of the changing table when it was flush with the wall like the crib.

Air plants are my fav. I have them hanging everywhere in our home.

I just threw stuff on our already existing shelves for decor. I haven’t really fretted on “staging” the shelves. I just used fun pieces that we had.

IKEA floating book shelf that was there already. I gathered up some favorite board books for the space.

We got the crib on Craigslist, back when I was pregnant with my firstborn. My sister was using it and graciously gave back to us. My dear friend is letting me use the changing table. I put cute wire baskets on it for storage of diapers, wipes, blankets, clothes. We are not using a dresser due to lack of space.

Lemon moccasins…. I mean, come on. So stinking cute.

I just love my rug I got for this room. I wasn’t going to update a rug, but I fell in love with this one and it was 70% OFF! It was love at first sight.

Here is a fun shot of the little gallery wall above the crib. I made the weave earlier this winter. My buddy taught me how to make them, you can find her here! The felt is from Etsy. I painted the watercolor piece. The unicorn head is Pillowfort at Target.

I had this driftwood ball chillin’ in my house and all I did was cut some felt garland and turned it into a mobile.  The ABC’s art is Waterfolk Goods (aka Kelly, one of our RMMB contributors.)

I love this Cinderella quote.

My daughters picked out the pig stuffed animal for their sister. The other stuffed animals were ones we owned already!

My girls have the cutest quilts in their room that my mom made and I found matching fabric on one of my favorite sites for crib sheets. The quilt is Anthro. #presh

I got a small rocking chair that would fit the space without making me claust. It is not one that I will take long naps in, but it will serve the purpose.

The cleanest you will ever see my desk 😉 I’m drinking my current fave: peach juice and a sparkling lemon water mixed. SO GOOD!

I had the triangle wall decals hanging out waiting for me to slap on walls for 2 years. I thought it was fun putting them in the corner clustered instead of straight lines. Let’s face it, that would take a level and ruler. Not my thing…..

The little side table. Eventually, it will have a water cup/straw, nursing pads, nipple cream, notebook etc. But for now, it is clean and simple. I put favorite blankets in the basket below.

Do you share spaces in your home that work great for your family? I would love to hear how you utilize your space!
