RECIPE: Emergency Alfredo Dip!

You’re invited over at the last minute—for dinner/ drinks/ a pot luck. (Or worse-you forgot.) You’ve had no time to prepare. You could run to the store and purchase a prepared fruit or veggie tray, but you would prefer to bring something homemade. Don’t panic- “Emergency alfredo dip” to the rescue!

The recipe is based on my homemade alfredo sauce, and the best part about it is that it works with ingredients you are likely to have.  Amounts are very loose and to taste.

Grease a pie plate or 8 x 8 pan. If you have time, use a saucepan and the stovetop method to melt and combine the following:

-2 8-oz blocks of cream cheese (or one…just use a smaller serving dish and adjust the other ingredients)

-sour cream

-olive oil

-butter

-garlic

-pepper

-parmesan cheese (this adds thickness)

-milk (optional, if dip is too thick)

(Alternatively, you can place them all in a microwave-safe dish, heat until warm, and stir)

Once combined, pour into the prepared pan and bake for 10-15 minutes at 350 degrees so the top gets  browned and bubbly. Grab some carrots and celery, a box of wheat thins or a loaf of french bread and enjoy! This crowd pleaser serves 12+
