Free hiking event celebrating spring ephemerals (those early flowers and plants) in SE MN!
Attend a free, naturalist-guided hike of the Lost Creek Trail west of Chatfield, MN for Sunday, April 27 from 1-3 pm.
Learn about spring ephemerals from a naturalist, take pictures, and hike about 3 miles of this wooden, unpaved trail down to streambeds and along 80-year-old stands of trees. While out on the trail, see if you can spot the crochet mushrooms placed by Rochester fiber artist Lydia Hansen as part of a year-long public art installation.
This event is free to attend for all ages. RSVPs are helpful (but not required). Please leave dogs at home.
