“honeygrl” is the brain child of Minnesota native Abbey Doerre. This alter ego was born out of a deep love for music, connection, and celebrating one another’s identities. Throughout the past two years Doerre has established her place in the Rochester/Minneapolis music scene as a creative force to be reckoned with! She has performed at the 2024 Minneapolis Pride Festival, the 2024 Mall of America Spring Music Festival in the Rotunda, as well as many other breweries and cafes around the state. With influences ranging all the way from Phoebe Bridgers, to Fall Out Boy, honeygrl is an artist you will want to keep an eye on.
Music on the Plaza brings live music to the Peace Plaza, encouraging passers by to enjoy the music of local artists over weekday lunch and happy hours, and Friday night concerts on Historic Third Street.
This program is presented by Rochester Downtown Alliance with support from Mayo Clinic, Altra Federal Credit Union, Olmsted Medical Center. The series is coordinated by John Sievers and Threshold Arts.
