Girls on the Run Celebration 5K | St. Mary’s University Rochester Campus

Girls on the Run Minnesota will host a regional Rochester-based 5K celebration on Saturday, November 9th at St. Mary’s University – Rochester Campus, celebrating the completion of an eight-week, sixteen-lesson season of Girls on the Run, an afterschool program with more than 190 teams across Minnesota. The Rochester-based celebration includes teams from Longfellow Elementary and Willow Creek Middle School in Rochester; Kasson-Mantorville Elementary, Lewiston-Altura Elementary, Stewartville Elementary and more!

In this non-competitive event, all Girls on the Run program participants wear the #1 bib, and many choose to spray their hair bright colors at the Happy Hair station provided by Great Clips, or paint their faces with fun drawings and messages. Volunteers write every girl’s name in chalk along the course and thousands of spectators are expected; the experience is a true celebration of every girl’s limitless potential.
