Rochester Art Center is proud to present Celebrations in Fiber, a group exhibition by the Zumbro River Fiber Arts Guild, on view in the Entry Gallery from March 12, 2025 to March 31, 2026. This dynamic display showcases the rich and diverse world of fiber arts, featuring framed and scroll-mounted works that highlight the beauty and functionality of fiber in everyday life. Everyday we use, touch, wear and admire fiber – paper, cloth, wool, felt, patterns, yarn, thread, rugs, clothing. But being useful is not their only purpose. Fiber is also used to decorate, inspire, tell stories, commemorate events and to connect with emotions. Like a river, fiber flows through our lives in a multitude of ways, meeting our needs and touching our souls. Celebrations in Fiber invites visitors to discover the artistry behind the fibers that shape our world.
Atrium Installation
On View Saturday, March 22, 2025 – March 31, 2026
The atrium will focus on a multi-story river and waterfall together with hoops filled with examples of fiber art at each balcony overlooking the river.
