A director of such distinctive, overpowering vision that he inspired his own adjective, David Lynch made films that seemed telegraphed straight from his unconscious to the screen. From the unsettling surrealist imagery of his midnight-movie classic ERASERHEAD; to the harrowing suburban nightmare TWIN PEAKS: FIRE WALK WITH ME and the uncanny majesty of his Hollywood-set masterpieces MULHOLLAND DR. and INLAND EMPIRE; to the twisted sexual liberation of WILD AT HEART and BLUE VELVET;Lynch’s labyrinthine puzzle boxes turn the American psyche inside out to reveal its deepest, darkest dimensions.
This Spring, Pop’s Art Theater is pleased to present a retrospective of some of Lynch’s best works, starting March 21st with daily screenings of select films.
