National Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from September 15 – October 15 in the United States. This special month recognizes the contributions and influence of Hispanic Americans to the history, culture, and achievements of the United States.
ACHLA (Alliance of Chicanos, Hispanic and Latino Americans) is hosting Latino Fest 2026 at the Château Theatre and Peace Plaza in downtown Rochester, MN, on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
ACHLA has served the Rochester, MN area since 2004. This long-standing nonprofit organization is run and supported by volunteers. ACHLA members and advocates have worked to create a bridge between the local Latino and Hispanic population and government/service providers. Additionally, ACHLA empowers Chicanos, Hispanics, and Latino Americans to enrich the quality of life for all people in the Rochester area.
ACHLA has achieved this work by establishing or promoting educational opportunities, civic engagement, community partnerships, and cultural exchange, as well as efforts to build capacity within the Chicano, Hispanic, and Latino American communities.
Latino Fest 2026
ACHLA is hosting Latino Fest at the Château Theatre and Peace Plaza on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Latino Fest is one of the region’s most vibrant cultural celebrations, bringing together more than 4,000 attendees each year. According to Placer AI, Latino Fest was ranked the #1 event in Rochester.
Latino Fest brings people together to celebrate Latino culture and heritage while creating meaningful connections among families, businesses, schools, nonprofits, and community organizations. The festival provides a welcoming, free, family-friendly space where people can experience Latino music, art, dance, food, and traditions while connecting with educational and community resources. Through celebration and collaboration, Latino Fest promotes belonging, cultural understanding, and opportunities for Latino families and the broader Rochester community.
This vibrant celebration takes place both inside the historic Château Theatre and outdoors at the Peace Plaza. Bring the kids, family members, and friends. The event is FREE to the public, and free weekend parking is available in all downtown ramps.
