Socially Smart Family Communication Series | Hope Summit Church

$60 per family–Kids 1st-6th grade attend with parents! Includes all three sessions, take-home activities, and snacks. There is no childcare for children younger than first grade.

SOCIALLY SMART CLASS DESCRIPTION

Does your family have problems understanding, relating, and mutually sharing in each other’s experiences? Does your child miss social cues, misinterpreting body language, tone of voice, and humor? Not “getting” how to fit in, form friendships, and difficulty working with others is becoming an increasing challenge of parenting.

Through activities, skits, and family discussion, you and your child will learn what is it like to experience social learning/social communication difficulties and work together on strategies to help with staying organized, paying attention, connecting with others, and understanding what’s expected in social situations.

You’ll all appreciate having fun while learning to improve social thinking to better communicate, relate to, and connect with other people.
