LIVE MUSIC – The Lazarus Requiem | Bethel Lutheran

The Rochester Pops Orchestra Classical Edition and Bethel Lutheran Church Chancel Choir are pleased to present The Lazarus Requiem, a powerful and moving mass inspired by the eleventh chapter of John’s Gospel. Featuring local vocalists Neal Petersen, Kate Rogers, Rhylan Peterson, and Megan Dotzler, the work vividly retells the story of Jesus encountering the profound grief of Martha and Mary—and weeping at the tomb of Lazarus.

The second half of the program showcases a newly composed Organ Concerto, celebrating the recent additions to Bethel’s magnificent Wicks Pipe Organ.

This concert is free to the public. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for seating. A free-will donation will be taken for the Bethel Lutheran Church Music Department.
