LIVE MUSIC – Luke Hendrickson w/ Danya Bashier | The Shoe Beverage Bar

Luke Hendrickson has carried his songs to 40 states, Canada, England and Wales, and this time he’s bringing them home to our listening room. The Rochester singer-songwriter grew up with his mom’s records always spinning. He went from playing bass in metal bands to falling in love with country music, and now he picks up an acoustic guitar to tell honest stories about the road, family and the people he meets along the way.

His album One Night at the Crystal Lounge earned four Midwest Country Music Award nominations, including Songwriter of the Year and Album of the Year. He’s opened for Marty Stuart and Lindsay Ell and was featured on PBS’s Backroads. Expect warm, road-worn Americana that feels made for a small room.

Opening the night is Danya Bashier, a Rochester-born singer-songwriter with a voice that stops conversations. She writes honest, vulnerable acoustic pop and is known for slowed-down, soulful takes on familiar songs. Her original music was chosen for the Rochester Music Mashup album project.

Grab a drink, settle in, and enjoy two of Rochester’s finest songwriters up close.
