Everything You Need to Know About 4th Fest in RochMN

The City of Rochester’s official Independence Day celebration, 4th Fest, will be held on Thursday, July 4, 2024, at Soldiers Field Memorial Park in Rochester, Minnesota. This community celebration begins at 6 p.m. and ends after the fireworks, at approximately 10:30 p.m.

With live music and activities for the whole family, culminating in a fantastic fireworks show, 4th Fest will be a Rochester community celebration you won’t want to miss!

Local Food & Beverage Vendors

There will be plenty to choose from with local food and beverage vendors selling food, drinks, treats, and more! Vendors include: Cabin Coffee Co., F&J Compadres, Infuzn Foods, Little Thistle Brewing Company, Minne’SNO’da Shave Ice, Reubens and Things, Tips and Tails, The Wandering Scoop, Thesis Beer Project, and True Smoke BBQ.

Virtual Pet Parade!

Back by popular demand, the Virtual Pet Parade will be delighting the audience with cute, silly, and loveable pets. To have your furry, feathered, scaly, or fin-tastic friend included in this virtual 4th of July parade, please email their photo to  publicmusic@rochestermn.gov by Wednesday, June 26, and include “Virtual Pet Parade” in the subject line. If you’d like your pet’s name displayed, please include your pet’s name in the body of the email or directly on the photo. You can submit a photo of your pet in patriotic gear, a fun costume, or just being their adorable selves!

 

 

Fireworks!

Every 4th of July celebration has to have fireworks, and Rochester puts on a spectacular show! Bring a blanket or camping chair, and OOOHH and AAAHHH with the crowd.

6 pmRochester Community Band, playing patriotic and traditional concert band music 

7 pm – Virtual Pet Parade 

8:25 pmJean Prokott, Rochester Poet Laureate  

8:30 pm –  Free Fallin, The Tom Petty Concert Experience (Tom Petty tribute band)

10 pm – Fireworks!

Free Parking

There are many options for parking for 4th Fest at Soldiers Field Park. All City and residential side streets, unless marked otherwise, are open for free parking. The ramps and parking lots below will also be open and free parking for this event:
