LIVE MUSIC – Resounding Voices | Rochesterfest

Resounding Voices is a community chorus that brings people with dementia, care
partners and volunteer singers together. We use group singing as a tool to help those
living with dementia and the people caring for them find purpose, connection, support
and joy. Our carefully designed rehearsals create a caring, judgement-free community
where everyone can sing and experience the life-affirming power of making music with
a group. We rehearse on Tuesday mornings, which many singers say is the best part of
their week. If you or someone you know is living with mild cognitive impairment,
Alzheimer’s or another dementia, please join us. You don’t need a formal diagnosis to
participate, and no previous musical experience is required. To learn more, visit

Resounding Voices will sing choral arrangements of a variety of songs that were
popular from the 1940s through the 1970s. We promise that you’ll hear at least one
familiar tune and invite you to sing along!
