Roo leads on vocals. He’s a former American Ninja Warrior and lifelong dog rescuer, and his life gave the band its name. Steven plays nylon-string classical guitar shaped by rock, soul, salsa, tango and Colombian folk. Nick, the percussionist and poet, switches between cajón, doumbek and full kit. Mark is the bassist with a natural feel for groove who’s happy counting in 11. Travis, the cellist, trained on Bach and adds the quiet emotional depth under it all.
