Meet the Farmer: Summer Grazing with Radicle Heart Farm | Food Union

Join us for a relaxed early summer evening featuring local shepherd Heidi Eger of Radicle Heart Farm in Canton, Minnesota. Heidi raises 100% grass-fed lamb and mutton while thoughtfully managing her flock for soil health, biodiversity, and habitat restoration.
This evening is less “formal class” and more grazing, conversation, good food, and learning a little more about where our food comes from. Heidi will be serving samples of her Herbed Lamb Meatballs with Cured Lemon along with stories from the farm, recipes, and photos from life with the flock.
Food Union will round out the evening with thoughtful cheese pairings and season-inspired grazing bites. Wines will also be available for purchase by the glass.
Along with frozen lamb chops, roasts, shanks, and ground lamb available for purchase, Heidi will also bring a selection of hand-sewn sheepskin pieces inspired by Nordic folk art traditions.
When not out with the flock, Heidi shares her love of lamb cookery, lefse, krumkake, and warm, welcoming food education through classes and events across the region. Her passion for honoring the whole animal and bringing land back to vibrancy through regenerative farming practices is something truly special to experience firsthand.
Reservations are $10 per person and will be applied toward Radicle Heart Farm purchases that evening. Space is limited to help keep the evening cozy, conversational, and delicious.
