In this 2.5 hour introductory course, we’ll walk you through the essentials of fly fishing in a relaxed, hands-on setting. This class is designed for complete beginners who want to understand the gear, learn basic skills, and gain the confidence to start fly fishing on their own.

You’ll learn how to:
-Identify and understand basic fly fishing gear (rod, reel, line, leader, and flies)
-Set up a fly rod and reel correctly
-Tie essential beginner knots used in fly fishing
-Recognize common beginner flies and when to use them
-Practice basic fly casting techniques
-Present a fly and detect strikes
-Hook, land, and safely handle fish
