The Gentle Turning: A Guided Forest Therapy Walk | Oxbow Park & Zollman Zoo

Join a guided walk in nature to mark the turn of the season of light to the darker half of the year. At 7:05 PM—while we’re still on the trail—the sun will cross the equator and autumn will officially begin. Together, we’ll explore the balance of light and darkness as we cross the threshold into fall.
Forest therapy, also known as forest bathing or shinrin-yoku, is a guided mindfulness practice that supports well-being through sensory connection with the natural world. During this 90-minute outdoor experience, a certified forest therapy guide will offer a series of gentle invitations to help you slow down, engage your senses, and notice the sights, sounds, smells, and textures around you. Tea and a light snack are included. Group size is limited to 12 to preserve a calm atmosphere and allow for personal attention.
