THE REMATCH

There is some unfinished business between these teams.

West Bend dominated the 2025-26 regular-season series, winning seven of eight meetings against Rochester. But when the season was on the line, the Grizzlies flipped the script.

Rochester defeated West Bend in the deciding game of the Central Division Final, 3-2, to capture the division championship and earn a trip to the Fraser Cup. The Grizzlies ultimately advanced to the Fraser Cup Semifinals.

Now West Bend returns to Rochester for Opening Night.

STORYLINES TO WATCH

Head Coach Marty Raymond returns for his second season behind the Rochester bench after being named both the 2025-26 NA3HL Coach of the Year and General Manager of the Year.

Last season, Rochester finished 29-17-1-0, placed second in the Central Division, captured the Central Division playoff championship and reached the Fraser Cup Semifinals. Raymond enters the new season with what he describes as a strong core of returning players ready to set the tone.

West Bend enters the season with a little extra motivation. After a 41-3-2-1 regular season and first-place Central Division finish in 2025-26, its season ended at the hands of Rochester in the Division Final. West Bend’s own 2026-27 preseason outlook describes the team’s goal as taking care of some “unfinished business.”
