Rooted in tradition yet alive with contemporary energy, La Manga ignites the stage with a vibrant fusion of cumbia, tambora, chandé, and rap, driven by the pulsating heart of tambor alegre, tambora, llamador, and maracas to create an experience that’s both culturally authentic and universally engaging.
Every performance (aka MANGAZO) is a joyful explosion of culture and sound that leaves audiences buzzing long after the final beat, honoring their Colombian heritage while pushing it into exciting new territory.

Presented annually since 2010, Passport Sessions is a free music series that celebrates global traditions, cultural connection, and community through live performance in downtown Rochester.

Each concert features world-influenced music — from folk and roots to contemporary cross-cultural blends — performed by artists deeply connected to the traditions they share. Events are family-friendly, un-ticketed, and open to all.
