This July: Historic Mayowood Specialty Tour: “Stories of Service”

Visit Historic Mayowood this July for Stories of Service, a special tour highlighting the Mayo family’s deep commitment to country and their longstanding tradition of military and public service.
Learn about:
- Dr. Charlie’s service as an officer in the Medical Corps of the U.S. Army during WWI
- Hear Dr. Chuck’s letters to Alice that he wrote while stationed in New Guinea
- See Mayo artifacts from WWII
- Learn about the Mayo women’s public service
Offered at no additional charge, this specialty experience includes the full general house tour, with Stories of Service presented as a special addition in honor of our nation’s 250th birthday.
TOURS BEGIN AT THE TOP OF EACH HOUR:
April — June
Sunday: 12pm—3pm
Wednesday: 10am—3pm
Saturday: 10am—3pm
July — October 22nd
Sunday: 12pm—4pm
Wednesday: 10am—4pm
Thursday: 10am—4pm
Saturday: 10am—4pm
Historic Mayowood is closed to the general public on non-tour days. The public is not allowed on the grounds without a tour ticket during business hours.
Regular & Specialty Tour:
Adults (13 & up): $20
Children (3 – 12): $10
Children under 3: not recommended
