Online shopping offers convenience, accessibility, and seamless transactions for customers. However, artists who own online shops face numerous challenges, such as limited visibility, resources, and brand recognition. Rochester Local would like to help. We are creating an online resource for Rochester residents and visitors to easily buy local handmade art called the Artist Directory.
Guidelines
- Items must be handmade. Examples include paintings, drawings, jewelry, fiber art, woodworking, photography, pottery, candles, and body products
- The artist currently has their handmade goods listed for sale online. Examples include a personal website with a store/checkout option (no inquiry, email, DM to order), Etsy, Amazon Handmade, Red Bubble, Minted, and Pixels.
- The shop must be active with products currently for sale.
- The artist must be located within a 25-mile radius of Rochester, MN.
- The artist’s creations may also be sold in physical stores.
- Open to all ages.
*Excludes multilevel marketing products and food.
