Join Hometown Opera Company for The Miller’s Daughter, a captivating one-act opera by Iowa–Minnesota composer Jodi Goble and librettist Victoria Erickson, inspired by Franz Schubert’s beloved Die schöne Müllerin. Performed in English and set to Schubert’s timeless music, the opera follows a young woman determined to escape the expectations placed upon her while navigating love, freedom, and fate. Filled with humor, romance, and memorable characters, the story ultimately unfolds into a powerful and moving tragedy.
