Corn on the Cob Days | Plainview

Corn on the Cob Days is Plainview’s annual multi-day summer festival, sponsored by the City of Plainview and coordinated by the Plainview Lions Club, celebrating “Everything Corn” with a praise fest, live music, a grand parade with over 100 entries, and other events. Its main draw is the free all-you-can-eat sweet corn feed on the final Sunday, where between 8 and 10 tons of corn are served over a four-hour period.
- Wednesday, August 12: Praise Fest and Pie Social at Wedgewood Park Shelter (7:00 PM)
- Thursday, August 13: Chicken dinner by the Plainview Fire Department and live music by Mike Puetz at TJ’s Tavern (5:00 PM – 9:00 PM)
- Friday, August 14: City-wide garage sales, shop local events, and live music by Flash Mob at TJ’s Tavern (9:00 PM – Midnight)
- Saturday, August 15: German Club breakfast, 5K/1-mile Fun Run/Walk at the Plainview City Pool (9:00 AM), car and tractor show, and tractor games.
- Sunday, August 16: Co-ed volleyball tournament and the famous free all-you-can-eat sweet corn feed (11:00 AM – 3:00 PM or until gone), followed by the grand parade at 1:30 PM.
