2023 Slatterly Park Walk Audit | Redeemer Lutheran Church
September 9 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Free

A Walk Audit is a fun, interactive way to assess the pedestrian experience in our neighborhoods. By walking together, we identify potential improvements to sidewalks, crosswalks, lighting, and traffic flow, and assess the pedestrian-friendliness and walkability of our neighborhoods.
After a brief program, you will join a small group of volunteers for about an hour of observing and evaluating walkability along a pre-determined route or location. A team leader will guide your observations using a set of walk audit worksheets and document your team’s evaluations. The results of the audit will be presented to the city council later in the fall.
All of Rochester is invited. If you are not a resident of Slatterly Park Neighborhood, this is an opportunity to learn about how the city can build the best walking experience. And you will learn how a walk audit works so you can bring one to your neighborhood!
So, if you live in the neighborhood and want to share your experience concerned with pedestrian safety and walkability with the city;
Or, if you want to learn how we can build neighborhoods to provide great, safe walking experiences
Or, if you want to learn more about walk audits and bring one to your part of the city.
Join us for Rochester’s first Walk Audit!
